Riverside Research Board Welcomes New Trustee and Elects New Chairman

WASHINGTON, DC – Riverside Research, a not-for-profit scientific research organization primarily supporting the Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community (IC), is honored to welcome Dr. Reginald “Reggie” Brothers to its Board of Trustees (BOT) and announce the election of new BOT Chairman, Mr. John Giering.

Dr. Brothers is an exceptional organizational leader and strategist with over 30 years of demonstrated success across the science and technology ecosystem of academia, industry, laboratories, and the Department of Defense (DOD). He is currently the Principal at the Chertoff Group where he develops growth strategies, identifies market solutions, and advises clients on the evolving nature of today’s threats and the resulting policy implications across the technology and security sectors. Previously, he supported the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as the Undersecretary for Science and Technology. In this presidential appointed role, Dr. Brothers led the $1B Science and Technology Directorate which is the primary research and development arm and technical core of DHS.

The Riverside Research BOT has also elected a new Chairman, Mr. John Giering. Formerly the Vice Chairman, Mr. Giering has been with the company’s board since 2013. He succeeds Mr. Tom Pitts, who served as Chairman since June 2010 and will continue to serve on the board as Vice Chairman.

Dr. Brothers and Mr. Giering began their new Riverside Research Board of Trustee duties effective June 21, 2017.
