Nancy Kenney Awarded National Association of Professional Women’s 2015 ‘VIP Woman of the Year’

NEW YORK, NY – Riverside Research, a New York-based not-for-profit scientific research company, is proud to announce that Corporate Controller Nancy Kenney received the National Association for Professional Women’s (NAPW) 2015 “VIP Woman of the Year” award.

A distinguished leader and role model in finance, Kenney was honored for her diversified proficiencies, outstanding accomplishments, and dedicated commitment to success.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Kenney has worked for Riverside Research since 2013. Her acute financial acumen and varied skill set has provided oversight to financial and business functions throughout the enterprise, including accounting, strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Kenney began her career as a public accountant and transitioned to the private sector through a position with ITT Corporation (now Exelis Inc.). Other previous professional roles include Manager of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development and Assistant Controller.

Nancy earned her bachelor’s degree in Consumer Economics & Housing from Cornell University and continued her education at Pace University, where she received her master’s in Accounting. In addition to being a CPA, Nancy is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant, a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and a member of the following finance organizations: the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSCPAs), the Financial Executives Institute (FEI), and the Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG). Nancy also provides career mentorship to fellow NAPW members.
