DAYTON, OH – Applied Research Solutions (ARS), one of Dayton’s up-and-coming small businesses, recently completed its first year of operations as a technical solutions provider to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

ARS Celebrates First Anniversary of Corporate Headquarters Grand Opening; Looks Forward to Continued Growth in Year Two -
Since opening company headquarters at The Greene Town Center in June 2012, managing partners Gary Wittlinger (right) and Kevin Sullivan (left) have grown ARS to 26 employees serving customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio and Fort Gordon, Georgia.

“We attribute our rapid growth over the first year to the quality relationships we’ve developed with numerous government and industry mission partners,” said Sullivan. “These relationships, together with support from our parent company, Riverside Research, have given us a robust pipeline of prime opportunities early in the process. The ARS Board of Directors and management team are energized by these opportunities, as our accessible market grows larger every day with the government shift toward Small Business contracts.”

ARS was activated as a majority-owned, small business subsidiary of Riverside Research, a not-for-profit research institution, in March 2012 and secured its first contract shortly after. The company posted strong contract execution and performance reviews throughout the first year.

“Our recruiting process is another key success factor,” added Wittlinger. “We have a great base of employees – highly technical subject matter experts who are motivated to learn and are committed to the customer’s mission. ARS is already known as an employee-focused company with a great culture, which is leading to a large number of terrific candidates applying for openings. Thanks to our staff, we earned a reputation for technical excellence early on and are now being sought as a preferred teammate on many programs. The future looks very bright for ARS, and we couldn’t be happier.”

With second year growth totals expected to eclipse year one, ARS is welcoming new talent into the company’s already strong pool of resumes. Click here to view all current job openings.
