Embracing Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is core to who we are. To date, we have an established a Board DEI committee, a DEI Council, a Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG), a Veterans’ ERG, and many more ERGs are coming. We realize deeply that innovation is most successful when people of diverse backgrounds and life experiences have the opportunity to collaborate.

An open invitation

We invite you to join us as we build a more inclusive environment for our employees. Through our council’s work and our ERGs, we focus on recruitment, retention, and advancement of all employees. We provide reasonable accommodations and encourage candidates from commonly marginalized communities to apply.  

Break the bias

As a continuation of the 2022 International Women’s Day theme, we #BreakTheBias about #WomenInSTEM. This means fighting against the stereotypes and roles traditionally limiting women. We support the women at Riverside Research doing this by example, and incorporate opportunities for new employees to #BreakTheBias in our recruiting and HR initiatives.

We support professional development through mentorship and believe that diversity reflects and supports the needs of the government customer and the citizens of the United States.

I feel heard as a disabled woman at Riverside Research. I felt included when I was invited to participate in the DEI Council as a founding member, and I’ve found so much support in our Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) as well. These groups provide a platform for me to affect change in line with our mission as an organization.

Women’s Employee Resource Group (Women’s ERG)

Our employee-led Women's ERG’s mission is to foster inclusivity in the workplace by creating a space for employees who share a common interest. Our Women’s ERG strives to provide a platform to:

  • Create connections, camaraderie, and inclusivity
  • Support professional development through mentorship opportunities
  • Amplify the profiles of women employed at Riverside Research
  • And support the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in our organization and beyond.

We have a number of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including a veterans group, to support the needs of our employees and make sure everyone's voice is heard.

Our Veterans' Employee Resource Group (Veterans' ERG) is dedicated to building awareness and providing resources to veterans, veterans' families, and friends of veterans and bringing together members to build networks, find community, and build camaraderie in furtherance of Riverside Research’s commitment to equal employment opportunity for all employees. This employee-led ERG is committed to providing recognition and support to help our veterans and military service members and families thrive, including mentorship and career development.
