Leadership

Alka has over 26 years of experience in systems engineering, IT integration, and program and project management with increasing levels of leadership responsibility and oversight.

Her experience is focused in the government contracting industry, where she has worked on the design, development and deployment of complex space, ground, and IT systems for numerous government agencies. She specializes in Agile and lean methodologies, human-centered innovation, strategy development, and performance optimization and partnerships.

Alka is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, SAFe Agilist and PMI PMP with extensive expertise in leading mission and business process transformation efforts for DoD and Intelligence Community agencies. She is an industry thought leader in process transformation, architecting high impact initiatives for businesses and her customers resulting in millions of dollars saved and increased speed to mission. She continues to work to enable both business and government to increase to efficiency and accelerate value delivery.

Alka has a B.S. in electrical engineering and an M.S. in telecommunications from the University of Maryland, College Park. She currently serves on the Board of Visitors for the University of Maryland A. James Clark School of Engineering Materials Science and Engineering department.
