Leveraging the combined strengths of the Radar Assessment and Development Laboratory (RAD Lab), the Modeling and Application Development Laboratory (Mad Lab), and the Electromagnetics Laboratory (EM Lab), Riverside Research is investing in the development of a powerful radar data analysis toolset called Performance, Health, and Analysis of Radar Operations Suite (PHAROS). For the first time, radar engineers, data analysts, and system maintainers will be capable of rapid, quantitative evaluation of sensor performance and mission success, including efficient, reliable identification and troubleshooting of system anomalies and data artifacts across some of the highest-fidelity data collection radars currently fielded.
PHAROS extracts recorded data from the various sensors supported by the RAD Lab and transforms the data into a common format usable by a robust set of generic analysis tools. User-access to the tools and underlying radar data is provided through a single, intuitive graphical user interface.
Designed under our Independent Research and Development (IR&D) Program with CMMI level 3 compliance objectives, PHAROS is easily extensible to future sensors and is already in use by RAD Lab staff for addressing some of the most challenging technical issues facing the newest sensors under development, such as COBRA KING (formerly COBRA JUDY Replacement).
