Frank Falco, PhD
Vice President for Research & Development

As Vice President for Research & Development, Dr. Falco leads the integrated research laboratories of Riverside Research. The labs conduct basic and applied research to solve technical challenges and expand expertise in the disciplines of biomedical engineering, electromagnetic sciences, computational sciences, modeling and simulation, radar, and cyber security.

Dr. Falco has over 30 years experience in electromagnetic scattering phenomenology, antenna radiation and signature predictions, design optimization codes, radar data processing and analysis, and signature control research. Before transitioning to his current position, Dr. Falco was Research Director of the Electromagnetic Sciences Directorate, leading a team of highly experienced researchers in developing state-of-the-art computational electromagnetic prediction and design optimization codes on high-performance computing platforms. His expertise spans concept definition, code architecture, theoretical advances, novel algorithm development, software implementation, efficiency improvements, testing and validation, and program management.

Dr. Falco has published the results of his research in refereed technical journals including JOSA and Applied Physics, and numerous symposia proceedings including ACES, IEEE/APS, URSI, and other venues. He also serves as a reviewer for Optics Letters and the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Journal.

A native of New York City, Dr. Falco earned BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in 1978 and 1979, respectively, and a PhD in Electrophysics from NYU-Polytechnic University in 2004.
